Children and Youth Ministries
Children and Worship –Children ages 3 through 2nd grade experience God through age appropriate worship in their own setting. Children begin Sunday. worship with their parents and mid-service are dismissed. Adults are needed to serve as greeters and worship leaders. The leader tells a story or parable then reads it from the Bible; children are then encouraged to respond to the message. The morning also includes a snack and song time. Training is offered for leaders every spring.

Kids Corner - Wednesdays – Boys and girls 4 years old through 1st grade learn through Bible lessons, puppet shows, crafts, snacks, games and prayer.
Teacher/leaders are needed.

GEMS – Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior for girls 2nd through 6th grade. Girls experience God through Bible lessons, devotion, crafts, signing and having fun! Are you available to serve as a counselor, music leader, craft or administrative assistant?

Cadets – Boys grades 2 through 6 do Bible lessons, crafts, Pinewood Derby and a spring campout. Needs vary from leading lessons, purchasing camping needs, or just being present as a role model.

5/6 FROGS – Kids in 5th and 6th grade learn to Fully Rely On God in a “youth group” format. Outings include swimming, sliding, and game nights. Enjoy being “a kid again!” as you assist in this ministry.

Junior High - Wednesday nights 7th and 8th graders meet for worship, games, small and large group discussions with their friends. Activities include weekend retreats, service projects, and more. Help these young people grow in Christ.

Senior High – Wednesday evenings 9th through 12th graders meet for worship, games, service opportunities and more. Small groups are geared toward Bible study and to grow in their relationship to God. This includes monthly events, weekend retreats and a summer mission trip. Make a difference youth’s life.

Kids Camp – June 14-19 Students grades 3 through 8 experience a fun filled week at Cran Hill Ranch with senior high and college age adults as counselors. Volunteers assist with music, drama, crafts, registration. Help change lives!

Worship Ministries
Praise Band and Orchestra - This ministry is looking for new instrumentalists to lead worship. Praise Orchestra uses string, woodwind, and brass in the 8:30 service once each month. At the 11:00 service the Praise Band currently uses guitars drums, electric keyboard and more.

Youth Choir - Young people meet Wednesday at 5:30 to prepare praise songs to lead the congregation in singing in Sunday worship as the music is ready.

Adult Choir – Tuesday nights 7:00 – 9:00 this group rehearses selections to lead in worship at the 8:30 service once each month. New voices welcome!

Drama Team – Drama can convey the message of the gospel or sermon illustrations in ways that music and the spoken word cannot. Building props and sets is an important part of this ministry. To become involved

Media/Tech Team – Active support for many technical areas is always a need. Training is offered for those interested in assisting with Lighting, Sound, Video and Computer Graphics.

Family Room – Families with younger children who need to be more active during worship are invited to the Chapel where the services are live fed to the screen. Host and Hostesses are needed to help guests feel welcome.

Bulletin Volunteers – Fridays at 1:00 volunteers meet to assemble and put inserts in the bulletins for Sunday morning. Come join the good fellowship.

Community and Facility
Alpine Elementary Lunches – Volunteers are needed to pack lunches for children who may not receive proper nutrition on weekends. Supplies are purchased.

Blood Drive – Hospitality people are needed as we host blood drives three times each year. Cookies are needed for our guests as well.

First Impressions Ministry – Guest Services
Coffee Ministry - Sunday mornings volunteers are needed to make coffee before the first service and between services. A clean-up crew helps after the second service. A team leader is also needed.

Greeters – Friendly, outgoing people greet people Sunday mornings as they arrive. Teams take one Sunday each month throughout the year. Volunteers are needed at the Guest Cart Central where we welcome visitors with a cup of coffee and a friendship bag after each worship service.

Information Desk – Members of this team serve one Sunday each month to help members and guests alike locate information about events and answer questions about Remembrance Church. Training available as needed.

Medical Teams – People with a medical background are needed to be “on call” during services/events for any emergency situations which may occur.

Ushers – Warm, friendly people are needed to smile and help our Sunday morning worshipers find a seat Sunday mornings. This is usually scheduled as a one Sunday each month opportunity.

Nursery – Sunday morning ten volunteers age 10 through adult are needed to care for our little ones during worship services and the education hour. Wednesday evening September through March we have a nursery for the workers of our Wednesday programs 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Thursday morning a nursery is offered for the ladies attending small groups 9:30 – 11:00 am.

Nursery Cleaning Ministry – To keep germs to a minimum and make our nursery safe for our little ones the nursery toys are cleaned twice each month. Volunteers are on a six-week rotation schedule.

Landscape Volunteers - May through October members take ownership of a particular garden on our property. Give 30 minutes each week to glorify God in our outdoor ministry.

Education Ministries
Education Hour/Sunday School classes for 3 year olds through adult meet Sunday morning 9:50-10:50 am. Nursery provided.
Children
WONDERland for 3 and 4 year olds offers a warm and nurturing place to learn about God through the God Loves Me Bible stories.
Kindergarten through 4th graders experience the Bible through WONDERland stations including science, arts/crafts, storytelling, music, cooking, and drama. Classes begin and end with small groups with time for reflection and prayer.
5th and 6th Grade classes learn Bible basics, work on service projects, visit the prayer room, and have guest speakers on how to live out God’s Word daily. They learn how God’s work and impact their lives and how to make a difference in their world with God’s help.

Youth
Junior High – Seventh graders learn Old Testament lessons; Eighth graders study New Testament lessons. Fun and fast-paced classes include info about the authors of books of the Bible, the culture of Biblical times and more.

Senior High - Students grow in their faith as they choose to attend a class of personal interest. Topics vary from modern video series on the Ten Commandments to an in-depth Bible study of end times. Teachers select a course from several different classes which fits their interests and teaching style.

Adult
Sunday Adult Education Classes meet 9:50-10:50 am September through May. A variety of classes are offered including studies of the books of the Bible, Network, a spiritual gifts discovery class, and current events. Check the brochure at the Information Desk in the Commons.

Library – Assistance is needed to check in books, evaluate donated material and staff the Library before and after Sunday services. The schedule is flexible.

Small Group Bible Study - nearly 35 different groups meet weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly – in the morning, evening or at noon. A small group typically consists of 4-12 people which may include couple, men, women, singles, young, not so young, and everything in between! Fellowship and Meal Ministries
Caregivers Ministry - Remembrance Church has a rich history of caring for one another. Those who genuinely love people and have the gift of compassion are invited to help us continue to grow this ministry.

Meal Ministry - Our “angels in disguise” provide meals when babies are born, in surgery situations, even for grieving families between funeral visitations. We need meal coordinators for two months, a program coordinator, and people to provide meals or portions of meals, deliver meals and/or make desserts.

Wednesday Night Dinners – Workers are needed September through March. Dinner is offered for all who attend our Gamily Night programming. We serve approximately 250 each week; cooks, shoppers, set-up and take-down workers are need. Volunteer for any length of time-once each month, each week or just one time during the year.

Prayer Ministry – Sunday Mornings prayer teams are available to pray with individuals after each worship service. Bring all items of joy, concern and thanksgiving to God in prayer.

Prayer Ministry Throughout the week a ministry is provided by those who have a passion for prayer. As prayer requests come to the church office an e-mail is sent to a group of intercessors for immediate prayer throughout the week.

Senior Saints – Dinners, game nights, special trips, beach parties, potlucks and so much more are just part of the fun for this group of 55 and over.

Special Services – Remembrance Church hosts many events throughout the year which require additional support. Consider assisting with Easter Breakfast, Graduation Sunday, the Annual Community Summer Picnic, game night, road rallies, and more. Many hands make light work and more fun!
